 Markus has started to ride when he was a young boy. Horse breeding and dressage riding were always the favourite traditions within the Waterhues family. He did his apprentenceship for the Pferdewirt at the horse breeding stable of Heinz Dickhoff - Holsen - a formula ex-member of the Westphalia's horse commission, who is a well known horsemanship trainer and breeder of German sport horses.

 Horse Riding Clinics and Training
Markus Waterhues can record several successes in many National Dressage Championships as well as in many Federal Dressage Championships. To name just two, for e.g. with his own breeded and formed dressage horse Don Jos, by Donnerhall / M.v. Bonjour Z, he achieved a superb 2nd place in Grant Prix Special at the dressage event in Redefin 2007 and of course a 11th place in the German Championships of Professional Riders 2007 at Hagen.
